Femme Rochas Perfume by Rochas, A classic fragrance first launched in 1944, Femme Rochas perfume was conceived in the middle of World War Ii by famous perfumer Edmond Roudnitska. Femme Rochas can be considered an opulent chypre scent fit for a femme fatale. Plum, apricot and other fruity top notes dominate the opening, giving way to a floral heart of carnation, rose and iris. Rochas began in 1925 as a French fashion company. In 1934, it launched its first fragrances with Femme becoming the best seller. Company founder Marcel Rochas ended the clothing line in 1953 and passed away in 1955, turning over the reins to his wife, Helene.
